Xbox live have a similar policy..every so often they have a 'ban-wave', which is basically just a MEGA ban scan. This ban scan detects xbox consoles which have had there ID codes tampered with, and account names and numbers, databases etc which have been tampered with, and they are console banned permanatley as a result. I believe its a yearly event, taking place last october i think..they banned like half a mkillion consoles in one wave :/

I wasn't even ACTUALLY HACKING but I got banned anyways. Posted a ticket to redeem my acc back. Nexon is cheap. I can tell why. More hacks, less need of nx cards. Less nx cards, no money. No money, more hobos

and on the first day of the missions we had over 2000 banned

They use that wording for a reason, so it doesn't say whether or not you're suspended or banned. The duration of the suspension is the only distinction between suspension and ban.
