Visual Studio isn't a language, but an IDE.
Well then whats about Dev C++ compiler where would be a good place to start From with that?
Just to make things clear C++ is the language.
Visual Studio, Code::Block, Dev C++ etc. are IDE's (Intergrated Development Environments). They are designed to help you code in a specific language (by highlighting syntax, coloring keywords etc.).
So if you want to learn C++, you need a book on C++. Not you IDE.
Suggestion for a book on C++ are: Sam's C++ in 21 day's, murach's C++ and some others (I don't know all the names out of my head).
Just look on amazon.com for them.
Yup, we can all go to Amazon and buy the first c++ for dummies book we see. We just need some quality...
But getting to learn your IDE is also a great idea as they are more or less the 4th level of code. ([IDE]->[language]->assembly->machine)
In need of a good c++ book. (beginner) any suggestions?
