This section really wasn't a serious section to begin with. I just love this place because I used to be able to come here for shits and giggles.

And now look what it's turning out to be.

To everyone who is currently viewing this thread and has seen the last few pages (and to the staff),

You're probably thinking "who the balls is this dude posting somewhere, making a long comment, who does he think he is?" Well, I am someone, a user, and I am someone with an opinion. I notice there is quite a bit of dramatics going on here. I literally imagined everyone talking here as a character on Days of Our Lives, with the clichéd looks of despair, anger, and sadness that each actor portrays.

I'm not much of anyone here. I'm just a user. No badges, no tags, no nilly-willy "respect list" or "funny quotes, hee-hee haa-haa." For those who have tags, you guys obviously have done something positive (I am assuming; correct me if I am wrong) to earn those tags/badges/whatever-you-want-to-call-them. If I am correct that those have been earned, shouldn't you act like someone better?

I am the student director of my school's music program. Literally, one year before that, I was a nobody. Just some kid with the skills and passion for music and learning things outside of my normal comfort zone. When I was accepted into my position, one: I was shoked; and two: I finally realized that I had to act differently - act like an adult and as someone people could look up to.

For those who have been accepted as a GM, Minion, Editor, etc, appreciate it and act like our true leaders of the site. No site can run without some guidance from it's staff. And, in my case, no music program can run without guidance from a student practically the age as everyone else.

Going back to the Days of Our Lives soap opera that I mentioned at the beginning (randomly), the last line in the introduction is "like the sand in an hourglass, these are the Days of Our Lives." Essentially, it means that as each day runs by in your life, it lessens the time left a person has to live. Think of your position here as that; you never know when this site may fall, or when you may get kicked out of your position for some odd reason. Take your spot with full gratitude and run with it (not literally - it's just an expression) because you never know when you will lose it.

That's my opinion. Whether you like it or not, I hope you take something positive from it. I hope this does not seem negative to anyone. And if it does? Well, I apologize.

    Sincerely,
    -That's

PS: And yes, I did apply for the gfx team. Perhaps I, too, will become more than just a normal user.

About 95% of this thread doesn't help Shayne.
