History of gfx section?

"I've decided to remove the entire GFX team, why you ask? - Because the team has no purpose. Giving a group of people a tag and fancy colored name, and a section to discuss stuff and have nothing meaningful come out of it is pointless. Even when something is asked of you guys, nothing is done, not even an attempt or post by any of you in many cases. A very common excuse is "I'm too busy" - in that case you shouldn't be on the team. The most I've seen from this GFX team is trolling and flaming up the GFX section which is not tolerated.

So what is going to happen next? I am going to find someone in the GFX forums who is driven, has a pleasant attitude and can find a purpose for these so called "GFX" members and assemble a "team". The team is here to help build the GFX section and MPGH as a whole.

If you think you can fill in this position don't hesitate to message any of the admins."


That should be explanatory enough. I would be embarrassed to be glad to have served, especially since the owner said what he said in a public manner and not privately.

Obviously the team doesn't agree with that, since they're the ones who got unceremoniously kicked off the cool people bus.

And they also like to call themselves the "best team yet" in gfx history, which is, shall we say, a dubious claim.

we where talking only on the basis of gfx skill, shayne was high mod/low int, jimmy ryan and i were all solid mod and guy is low moddish, way better than any team befire

My opinion is based off of the administrator's opinion of the site. Yes, you guys may very well have been a great GFX section.... but that was in 2009. Obviously something happened since then and now.

Abraham Lincoln once said “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.” In an anagolical form, one cannot change the opinions of one to match those of other's. No one can be forced to change their own stance on a subject.

And if I disagree with what this thread is discussing, even if you may completely hate it, then don't start to hate me for what I have to say. Opinions make people stronger, whether you are strong already or weak.

You should probably form your own opinion, or just say you agree with the admins and leave it at that. You don't see Dave over here arguing, and if you have the same opinion as him, neither should you. Unless yours differs, in which case, please elaborate. I'd like to know who your main account is.
