Unplug your monitor and plug it back in.
So my desktop computer is on.. But it's not. It appears on with my mouse lit up and green light flashing near the power button but it's a black screen and orange light on the power button on the moniter. (indicates usually when computer is off) I've switched my computer on and off numerous times and has worked twice in about 6-7hrs. And once it does go on it just auto turns off after a bit. I'm pretty sure it's not a virus because Norton would've detected it.. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Unplug your monitor and plug it back in.
clean it out manuelly, take the cover off and de-dust it all, make sure it has a solid power source and if you have a newer moniter make sure it is configured to your desktop :P
i love working with computers :P

Run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware if you get the time to. If not, and you have win7, try running the recovery windows on the DVD. If that does not work, try and check your comps, maybe some of them get overheated / are broken. So also check the airflow in your PC. 100's of things to check
