I have been encountering a problem since I installed Ubuntu.
The installation worked fine and the OS itself is pretty fast and sleek. I like the UI, too.One thing that is bothering me: Ubuntu isn't detecting any additional drivers that I have installed. They all work fine in Windows 7, but they don't seem to be detected in Ubuntu. I can't even connect to my wireless internet so can't update them or anything.

Hey, since I heard that Ubuntu is faster than windows,
What games DO work on it?
Like would GTA IV on steam work? Or Bad company 2 on PC disk work?
    I might go with ubuntu

Most hardware has open source drivers available, just check under "hardware drivers". Which specific hardware are you talking about?

I need some of you guys that use Ubuntu to help me about some things..
    Should I install it?
Don't comment about games, I don't play any.
When I install it, does it overwrite my whole hard disk or does it keep my current files?
    Is it faster than Windows?
I have wireless connection, so do I lose that option when installing Ubuntu?
What browser is given in Ubuntu?
Is there an Ubuntu market from where I download applications?
    @Chuck Bartowski
    Depends on you
You can choose to install it alongside your current OS
Depends on your PC. But it most likely will be
    Don't know
    Firefox
    Don't know

If I didn't game so much I'd permanently make the swith over to Ubuntu. Its way better looking than windows 7 and its a lot faster.
