Minecarts - The bane of my existance

Hi all,

Well, you will be glad to know that I have officially supported the Minecraft community and purchased a copy for myslef and one for my son. No longer are we using cracked versions.

I always said when I could afford it I would happily BUY the game love it!

With this in mind, knowing that we have a proper version, can anyone tell me how I can get a working mod to enable the minecarts to move, either through the W,S,A,D while in the cart or clicking on the cart to go in that direction, in multiplayer.

Download zombe's modpack and use the "Cart Control" part of the mod.

They move when on slops.
also you can use booster rails(powered by redstone torch's) to boost you

So that'll work with 1.7.3 legit copy and allow control of minecarts using WSAD? It worked on the cracked singleplayer,but not multiplayer. Let's give it a go and see

Singleplayer = Client sided (i.e: Texture packs , flying mods, more creatures, and others (Only you can see them))

Multiplayer = Server sided (Most mods must have a server support for other players to see them/use them)

So I'm not sure if it works on Multiplayer.

No it wont work on multiplayer, unless the server is running a mod.

Heartview, many thanks for your advice. Now is there a mod, that works in 1.7.3, and will work on either bukkit or original server, that will allow multiplayer to control carts? I am guessing not . . .
