Mention system is buggy

Whenever I try to mention someone, it says my message is too short. I tried mentioning at the beginning of the post, at the end of the post, in the middle of the post, and it always comes up with the "your post is too short, please lengthen your post to 10 characters or more" error.

It's quite annoying. Oh well, I'll just PM people instead of mentioning them -.-
