texture mod

more of a question then a help request. I was wondering how to make texture mods. I have ALOT of higher res textures i use for 3d including stones, grass, plasma etc etc that would be epic in minecraft.... but i dont know how to mod textures...anyone?

The basic textures are compiled onto 1 Texture.png

Download a texture pack that has the same resolution as your textures, open it, and edit terrain.png with your textures. Do the same for other files, or just delete them and only install the terrain.png into your game.
