Internet Virus?

Some strange things have been happening to my internet usage lately. My parents are blaming me for all internet going. Im a moderate user i use internet for mpgh, youtube, facebook and games not much internet rite? ... wrong

im with bigpond (Australia) and i recently took a look at my internet usage graph it looked something like this.

monday:500mb
tuesday:780mb
wednesday:300mb
thursday: 800mb
friday: 16 gb

when i saw 16 gb i was llike wtf i just came home from tennis training and bam 16 gb gone parents dont download, sister is never home, my pc was off the whole time.

I dont know whether i have been hacked or its bigpond's fault, whether i should contact them or change security for our internet. Any ideas

The amount of shit I download on a regular never get's up to 16Gb in one day, so it's an error on thier part...

hmm we use a mac address filter.
my neighbours they are like 60-70 yrs old, hmm they are definetly hacking my internet with their super computers hidden in their garage.

but anyway i called bigpond (after 10 mins of w8ing for auto service) they looked over it and said that it was their fault, something went wrong (they wouldnt tell me what happened) and now i can use 16gb more

thx guys.

but im still gonna upgrade security.
