Mods must be made
Well I haven't been active in the MC section due to; me having a girlfriend, being sick and being on vacation.
But I have returned now, and I have noticed there seems to be a lack of mods actually coded by MPGH users. This is sad We had a community that was regularly releasing and creating their own mods on MPGH.
We need that community again. No one wants the MC section to be 100% leeched content.

-MC Modder Easy
-Basic Modding
These are only 2 tutorials, a surplus can be found here.. (No credits to Fogest, he stole the list off me.)
So what are you waiting for? By coding mods for the MC section you earn respect, reputation, admiration, thanks AND rep. If you want to be a respected member of MPGH, here's your chance.
Those simple tuts let you make very basic mods, that we have millions of.
If you're gonna make an original massive epic mode, youll need to take the time to learn Java. Most people give up on that, so they just leech.
IMO.
I may pick up java at some later time although atm I'm still learning vb

I'm going into high school, rumors are that you don't learn anything :P
P.S. VB doesn't define a specific computing language
They could add a plugins section for Minecraft, as there can be more than one coding language involved..
There are specific SMP plugins that allow you to code in Ruby, Python and more and run them on your server.
I know what you mean, but it would be nice to see some more mods where the user hasn't just gone on the forums, downloaded the mod, added the attachment here, and C + P'ed the description from the thread.
It would be nicer if we had a nice little community (like CA/CF) that releases mods/hacks that they made themselves. They definitely won't be as good as what is leeched, but it adds actual integrity into the Minecraft section. Personally, I don't want a section that is pretty much 70% leeched.
another reason for me to learn java. i will when my wrist is healed....
yes, but making a mod takes time
i will gladly learn, but time is not on my side
