In the ass too, you're just done for if PB catches you. But VAC is good too because if you just caught on one game your entire account gets banned, and if you have any other games on that account you're fucked and raped in the ass. But VAC can't detect content hacks. :/

Than i'd say PunkBuster does a better job.

The punishments are the same.
VAC bans you from all VAC servers, and PunkBuster bans you from all PunkBuster servers.
PB is easy to bypass, but VAC isn't. VAC likes you to think you're in the clear, then bans you out of nowhere. PB has a low chance of catching you, but still gets the job done.

VAC is best, but PB is runner-up.

But VAC can't detect content hacks such as wallhacks and chams things that modify in game content, what it does well is finding the injector and prevents it from injecting then it bans you, what is better about PB is that it can/will hardware ban you witch now days is the most effective ban, and it bans your IP, and you serial code to your game. PB maybe be able to bypass but its harder to update because it constantly updates and analyzes irregularities in software. I think ESEA is one of the best is because protects very little games so it can focus more on those individual games. VAC may do hardware bans but I'm not sure.
