That's what you need to do:

- Uninstall the game completely
- Disable your antivirus' realtime protection
- Redownload the game
- Install the game
- Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- Re-enable realtime protection

Try unistall, delete all cf folder, use ccleaner and reinstall again...

Have you disabled your anti virus completely? Allowed crossfire as an exception to your anti virus?
