Swithcing from steam mw2 version to alteriwnet mw2 version

hello,
Is it possible to play on alteriwnet servers with my steam version ?
Maybe i just need to download a few files from alteriwnet and change them with the original so i can play on alteriwnet?
I dont wanna download the full aleriwnet version (6.7 GB) with torrents.
Pls help me.

Just paste that into your MW2 folder. You probably wanna do it in a copy. Should work.

It's okay, it's an approved link.

But yeah, just paste that patch in there, run the updater and then it should work fine I suppose.

Let us know how it works, by the way updating via aIW's updater takes FOREVER.
