Fucking downloaded CoD4, apparently it's the 1.0 version.
Now I have to download 7 patches because I can't update directly from 1.0 to 1.7.

You know there called dlcs, ie you download more maps. also there are two, maybe 3 patches to download not 7 and also you can play 1.0 just fine without having to downloading the patches, infact most people don't bother.

Some of the patches aren't incremental, you can download them and they'll update any version, so in all you should only need to download max 3 patches, I think it only took 2 when I used to play.

Well then you're a retard because I've got the game and I know for a fact than 1.7 servers simply don't appear on the server list if you're running 1.0.

Actualy there is a incremental patch from 1.3 to 1.7 if i recal correctly let me see if i can find it

You can update from 1.0 to 1.6 only using 1.6 patch.. big patch 200 mb
and than you download 1.7
