You have to be infected to not die when you hit the bottom. It's the same as in two towers where infected can swim. Only difference is that when you come out of the water it makes you superjump.

no, u dont hav to be infected in Neptune to drop off a building into the water u just hav to not touch the bottom or u die but u cant do dis in two toweers

That's because infected don't recieve fall damage, my understanding is that it doesnt matter how high you fall from.

If you are infected then you don't get hury from falling. If you are a human you would. So its a obvious that you have to be the zombie.
