im somewhat new to hacking and i need someones help with jailbreaking my ps3. i have 4.00 firm ware. do i need to have a previous firmware? if so is there anyway to get that previous firmware back so i can jailbreak? please help.....thanks in advance.

I think that so far, There is only ONE way to hack it. You need a mod-chip. If you want to go online, jailbreak an older ps3 (with 4.00) and have another legit ps3 and just convert the hacks into game saves. I think thats what one of my friends did.
