Change FOV with cheat engine cause VAC banned?

in MW2 MP steam version
if only in memory change the fov to 80 with cheat engine = VAC baned?
I read in others forums can be banned for run cheat engine without any change (only run process)

You'd probably get banned for modifying memory and yeh ofc u wont get banned if u just run cheat engine and not edit memory
