It really depends on how much you will want to play PC games. If you don't have a console and your laptop can't take the games you want to play. then keep the desktop. If not, then be the good brother and give it to 'em.

@Edword You'll regret giving them your desktop if all you have is a shitty laptop. What you can do, is give them their own accounts on the desktop and let them on every now and again as long as you're not using it. Then, when you go to build a new one, call them both into the room and play a guessing game with them until they guess computer, and tell them "well that's what you two are getting". Then give your desktop to them. That way they will already think you're an awesome brother for letting them use your desktop, and when they become famous on playboy you can exploit them for their money but no seriously, don't give them your desktop yet.
