I'm a new member here, just wanted to discuss the recent "+15 exploit".

Not right that only a select few are using public tools or knowledge ( I assume ) to gain unfair advantage of this game we so love, and keeping all mum, high and mighty about it, and even selling said exploited items for huge amounts of cash.

I believe +15 hack is a byproduct of .hfs editing, directly or indirectly. Due to the recent hackshield bypass, a wider door has been opened.

No, .hfs editing is gone, but I believe this has to do with enhancement runes. Copying my post from my topic:
1. There was a video a while back showing +10 to +11 with rune in Mabinogi Heroes. This may or may not be related.
2. All the sellers of +15 weapons require an initial deposit of $50. This is presumably to buy (at least some of) the runes that will be used for the enhance.
3. The cost of the +15 weapon decreases if the original weapon is already at a high enhance level. Probably due to needing less runes in these cases.
4. The hackers refuse to give Nico a random low-level +15 item to prove that this is real and boost credibility and sales. This is because it will cost them money to enhance this random +15 item.
5. The process does take some time to do, and as one seller mentioned, "involves risk." A true enhancement hack would just be to enhance every time and it succeeds. This is not really a true enhancement hack as that would be too good to be true. Enhancing with runes will take some time, and the amount of runes needed varies, it could potentially cost the seller more than $500 if he is really unlucky.

I don't entirely think HFS editing is completely gone until there is proof that the client / server checks all the HFS files and see if the contents of the HFS files were edited. What we know is after you try editing the file, the game won't start because the client checks for something. What the client checks for, we don't know.

It is possible that the "enhance hack" involves HFS file edits, but with the way these sellers have been acting, it seems more likely that the "hack" is a console command or an exploit of the UI.

hfs can't change anymore.
if it is change, enchance system's administer is Item DB.
hfs file say that follow the Item DB.
only console command? i don't undetstand.

I wonder what's going to happen when someone who posts about "it's not fair to know an exploit/hack and keep it from the public blah blah" actually finds out how to perform it. Money says they're gonna keep it to themselves in the end and not share it lol.
