Out of curiosity how does Nexon combat these hacks other than updating and changing files? do they have methods by which they can actively search the servers to detect users who are using things such as the console or bots or whatever?

Well they have banned before in waves, but no one really know what caused them, aside from the obvious ones like item spawning.
