    64-bit
    Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Really comes down to how much RAM (and at what speed) you've got running in your machine.

    And who buys Windows anymore?

    Okay..but what kind of Ram?? DDR2 or DDR3? you're going to need to know this before choosing your OS.

    Fine
    Type of ram is irrelevant, generally speaking unless you have an ancient PC and/or you don't intend to really use 64 bit applications, you're better off with a 64 bit OS.
