Metal? Nope, they are in fact made from plastic. Earcups and headband are not metal, as far as I know. The sound quality is shit for the price tag. They should shit gold and and pour rainbows into my eardrums for that price. But the sound quality falls far below its peers of similar price. Like I said, you're paying for the brand, not a set of good headphones. Just like Bose, except with Bose, you get what you pay for. You get quality.
