Does this mod work with the technic / tekkit launcher? If not, does anyone know a method to get Xray on these?

true, but note that hackclients may have keyloggers in it. Tedium has one for instance, i would only use it with non-premium accs.

How to use it ?

Well, controls I've experienced with X-ray mods is Usually "X" is the key to use to see minerals. The "c" key could be used for full brightness. That's all you really need to know IMO.
