Botting on a "main" account.

Has anyone tried botting on a char with a fair amount of titles/ap/story completed/gear? Trying to figure out whether its the botting itself what they check for or if they check for titles and such. I haven't tried this since I don't have an alt account that's not for botting.

i have been doing it for 4 months + havent been banned lvl 70 got there legit and 200 somthing titles with good armor lol

botting with main as well, since i can't make new bots, my 3 other bots are not enough to get me +15 dragon gears

So I'm guessing they are in fact looking at how leveling up is achieved, so if you have a legit main botting they can't tell. Interesting.

I am pretty sure if you botting long time with lvl penalty you will get banned. I have two account got banned cause that reason. My lvl 70 bot account is fine though i am botting all day long.

im pretty sure they can. regardless they can just ban it so its probably much safer to just not do it.

As long as u bot within bounds i think you'll be okay. the ones u hear getting banned either overdo it by alot or are just plain idiots that flood the market.
(im sure ppl will claim they barely did it and got canned, but i bet they were careless)

Also they probably look at levels achieved and # of battles cleared
i know with mhwalker they could look for # of spears or secondaries used.

Can you show the message that told you you were banned for botting with lvl penalty?

And if that's the case why didn't they ban the lvl 70 botting all day long? lol

Thing is I started up a bot and botted to level 64 before my client crashed, once I logged back in it was banned.

I think it still gives you the same message regardless of the ban reason.

yes it should be the same message and he never said it was 100% sure about that, but that would probably tie into # of clears.. lol if only we can find a way to finish bosses and get drops without battle clear, but thats probably impossible, unless someone like dank could pull items from the bosses itself, but again im sure this is impossible unless u change it via server side

Only way I can think of is to just not log off, you log off and you're not getting back on that bot.

Edit: There's also this "battle farming penalty" thing going on which might explain low level bot accounts getting banned since they can't do hero mode yet.

I was even botting for the weeks on my main and he still alive (I think so).But it was in 2011 :\

yea if u havent done it in a while u are probably fine, they have some new detections i bet or maybe that autoban is comming into effect. /shrugs

Yeah this ban wave is from new updates they've done. There's no way they have enough people to check each account manually, so its got to be automated, and if it is, there has to be a way around it.

Maybe looking at old bot accounts that people used to farm the r8 scrolls would check whether they have scanned their databases for certain criteria or whether its a live scanner checking new account activity.

Cause hero boat do not have lvl penalty.
