When I upload transparent images the background turns white not transparent why is this?

I wasn't actually putting the transparent background on it was like transparent renders I had .

Doesn't matter if you upload it as .png, the website uses .gif for avatars, if you check everyone else you will see it.

But you can simply solve this problem adding a white background on the transparent area.

Well my suggestion looks more simple, considering he has to download Photoshop again.

.png's still work as avatars, mpgh just changes the format to save in its database but keeps the blank background

When I do my Transparent imgs I just save them as gif with no animation
