Umm, I used something like this, a while back. Every thing I got from idling was taking away, even hats. That's what that "cheaters lament" thing was. Stuff like this. Idk if they still try to find out about this stuff, but be careful, because Valve states in the user agreement, not to use any third-party programs with Team Fortress 2.

That was a bit different. Drunken F00l's approach was to create his own client that acted in place of the official client, exploiting the mechanics of the item server. Idling is considerably fine, and therefore are these tools; cheating, however, was not.

I would like to know why too.

It stopped for me did it stop for you aswell? Also after MvM the tool broke for me because all the servers are out of date and the add button is broken for me. I am going to make my own tool in VB as a fun little project if you want it i could make a post for it.
