Custom Skins

Hey guys!

I used to make skins for Battlefield 2 and recently I've been trying to make some free custom skins on BFP4F for the mpgh community and myself. While I am able to edit files and stuff, bfp4f seems to have some sort of file checker, that prevents me from starting the game, specifically the invalid data errors. I know how to make skins, I am renaming files exactly the same as original, and I've tried all sort of tricks, none of which have worked.

So I'm wondering, to all the hackers out here, does anyone know a way to bypass the file check or make a program that blocks the file check. I know this may be difficult but free skins would be worth it.

I also know custom skins can be made into the game because there is a guy who was able to do so.

I think its something with MD5? Because The files you put have different hashtag then the original Ones So that might be the Problem If you know how to bypass that I think that might solve it

Hey Enj0i, can you be a bit more specific on the issue you had? Because I tried modifying the files too and it worked until I tried to connect to a server. In fact, I modified my character's head skin and I could see the difference in the lobby menu. The only problem now is that I can't play.

Exactly because the original files arent there so PB doesnt let u play get me?

Thats what i was saying. Edit can be seen in the lobby but you can't play ingame.

Yep thats all u can do.. Unless you can turn off PB on a server which is most likely not

Oops ^^ Sorry but yes I actually sent him a mail and I'm still waiting for his answer and still looking for a way to make it work.
I hope he'll answer soon, it would be awesome to get some mods to work on P4F
