i need help about lta mode export of 3DS MAX 7 problem

i follow the steps show below:

1)Import WAVEFRONT OBJECT (.O B J)

2)Export Lithtech Model (.L T A / .L T C)
It show:
If you are using Charracter Studio 3, you must be using at least version 3.1.2.
This update is available at Autodesk - Media & Entertainment
Earlier Versions of Character Studio 3 will crash during export.


3)I found that exported file. It was 435 bytes...

and then
i tried to search the Character Studio 3
i cannot found it...
what wrong? or i missing?

animated weapons can not be obj for one. OBJ is just for model, no animation

as for opening the LTA file, it can only be opened in Model Edit from the lithtech jupiter suite

Also, i convert some character model or weapon model from CS:S to Heat Project. (like CA)
I don't know which method is working for this game.
