It's over 38,000!
Earlier this week we went over 38,000... guests? 8 Minutes after MPGH came back up from a short 1-3 minute downtime, Scata posted a thread showing a screenshot of over 38,000 guests connected to MPGH. The reason behind the downtime(s) this week, and that day are unknown, but it's been confirmed that the downtime that day was due to a DDoS/DoS attack. With the 38,000+ guests being connected, it was a new record of most people connected to MPGH!

vBShop & Downtimes
No official word has been heard of when content is coming to the newly added, "vBShop" but if you wish to have your suggestion heard - feel free to post it on THIS thread!

There has been numerous, but small downtimes this week. Many of them are claimed to be a result of a DDoS/DoS attack, but with Dave's recent announcement of network issues - there is nothing confirmed.

[MPGH]Scata the babi monki was postbanned earlier this week for finally hitting 21,000 posts! Congratulations!
[MPGH]Alen be racking up 27,000 posts! Made his postban earlier this week saying that he hates us all, and in between his 27,000 posts it hasn't changed ONE bit. Congratulations!
Nathan supposedly coming back from a 2 month ban - comes back to ANOTHER ban (a postban) for hitting 6,000 posts! Congratulations!
Zyzz hit his most recent postban for hitting 8,000 posts! Congratulations!
[MPGH]Ravallo doing his hard duties as a GMOD, finally hit his most recent postban for 12,000 posts! He requested in his postban thread to, "not be banned as there is much to do" - it was not taken into consideration. Congratulations, Ravallo!
[MPGH]asianeyes earlier this week was accepted and added to the staff team as a Minion for the Warrock section! Congratulations to him!

[MPGH]Paladin: How did you find MPGH?
[MPGH]Revive: I stumbled across MPGH by looking for Combat Arms Hacks on Youtube.

[MPGH]Paladin: Most people know you recently got console minion, are you planning anything for your section this summer?
[MPGH]Revive: A few of the more active members of my section have put forward some ideas and we'll look into them as a section but my plans for the sections this Summer is to Increase the popularity of Wii Hacking and to boost the Handheld Gaming Sections.

[MPGH]Paladin: What are you interests besides game consoles?
[MPGH]Revive: My interests besides gaming consoles are Video Editing, Web design and spending countless hours on Youtube.

[MPGH]Paladin: Can you give me a brief history of your time on MPGH?
[MPGH]Revive: Started out in the Combat Arms Section assisting people to run their hacks, did some Video Editing for that section because of the Publicist Position Applications, moved on to Console Section and built it up with a handful of members and that's where I have remained.

[MPGH]Paladin: If you had to choose your favorite upcoming game, what would it be?
[MPGH]Revive: This is a tough one, with so many great games announced this year I think the few I'm most looking forward too would be Bioshock: Infinite, WatchDog, GTAV, The Last of Us and I'm sure there's more but I'll keep it brief.

[MPGH]Paladin: Have you been involved in another community besides MPGH?
[MPGH]Revive: I have joined other communities as some offer a more specialized approached to certain platforms but it's mainly been for research purposes.

[MPGH]Hero: So tell me, how did you find MPGH?
[MPGH]master131: I saw some other guys playing with hacks on MW2, so I though it'd be cool if I did too, so I googled "MW2 Hacks" and clicked on MPGH.

[MPGH]Hero: How has your time been on MPGH - starting from the beginning you registered, until now?
[MPGH]master131: It's been great and also a wild ride. I started off as a noob mainly caving in the MW2 section not knowing much about hacking. Now as you can see, I am a GMOD here and I've learnt a lot since I've registered.

[MPGH]Hero: Speaking of being a Global Moderator, you're also the newest one (along with Ravallo) - what was going through your head when you found out that you were a GMod?
[MPGH]master131: A lot of things went through my head, such as the overwhelming thought that I'd have more responsibilities and looking after pretty much all of MPGH and the happy thought of knowing how hard I've worked to become a Global Moderator.

[MPGH]Hero: Are you looking forward to anything on MPGH during this 2012 year?
[MPGH]master131: No, not really anything in particular. Perhaps what appears after Black Ops 2 is released.

[MPGH]Hero: Outside of MPGH, do you have any hobbies?
[MPGH]master131: No hobbies apart from programming.

[MPGH]Hero: Do you have any favorite games in particular? If so, what are they?
[MPGH]master131: Well my favourite game of all time would have to be Mass Effect series. Right now though, I do hop onto MW3 sometimes to play Infected.

Uganda Homophobic?
The Ugandan government recently announced that it will ban 38 agencies that are supposedly promoting gay rights. Background on Uganda: Located in East Africa, the country is technically the Republic of Uganda. They speak English and Swahili as well as some others. Homosexuality is illegal in Uganda. The Ethics Minister (Simon Lokodo) said, "The sooner they are phased out, the better." A spokeswoman of the U.S. State Department responded by stating the US was completely against the bill. This announcement recently came out after a police raid occurred on a gay rights activists workshop, where people involved were held for several hours.

Several hour standoff!
Friday, a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan was attacked Taliban militants. Attackers were armed with suicide vests, rocket propelled grenades and heavy machine guns. A 7 hour standoff ensued ending with the death of 7 militants. 15 civilians were killed by the militants as well as three security guards. 50 civilian hostages were saved by police according to Kabul police chief, Mohammad Ayoub Salangi. Background on The Taliban: The Taliban is a militia with Islamic fundamentals. They once ruled most of the country (Afghanistan).

-Due to some complications, and with me sending out acceptance letters TODAY (which was at 1AM my time) our Global News writer did not have enough time to write two sections. I excuse him from that as it was my fault for accepting him on the day of our release.

iPad Coming From Microsoft?
It is said that Microsoft will be releasing their OWN "iPad" like tablet. It is to be released on Monday - the name of the tablet is unknown and unconfirmed at this point, though some name ideas are: mPad, the SoftPad, the SoftTab, and the MicroPad. If Apple can do it, so can Microsoft.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Medal of Honor is back! Soon to release their next game that follows the sequels of Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Warfighter is said to also have Multiplayer which as some comments on it say, "Makes COD look like a bunch of f-in babies". As all games, you hear about it and you really want it, but you must be patient for the actual release. Warfighter is to be released on October 23rd, 2012. Hey!

Give us some suggestions and recommendations on our 2nd edition! Sorry if the Gaming / Global News is not fulfilling. I believe Ghost was out somewhere, if not he was very busy and I excuse him for that. I had to fill in Gaming News, and I'm not very much in the "loop" which gaming and technology related News.. Possibly technology, but not really. Anyways, Global News was kind of sketchy because I PM'd ryakhawk his acceptance letter and all his information at 1AM today (Friday) so he didn't really have time to complete his assignment. That is completely my fault, and I take full responsibility for that.

Yep. Since applications closed on Thursday, me and Scata didn't review the applications until thursday NIGHT, which is why the acceptance letter was sent out the first hour of Friday.

Also, Shunnai. I understand where your comment about more information is coming from.. But mind you we don't have many sections where information is needed.
