Joining by IP Adress

If i get someones Ip adress how can i join their game using their IP adress even if we arent friends? my freind told me about it but he wont tell me how he does it. This is for mw3 pc.

i couldnt find any path. and im not friends with them im just trying to join their matches. their friends list is full but they host some matches once in a while

What do you mean by "their friends list is full"? The steam friends list can be (basically) infinitly long. To join you need their direct IP address. I don't really think this will work very safely, since most people get a new IP every 24h hours. Usually the port is 28960 (at least it was in MW2 and I managed to connect to people with that in alterIW).

So, what you need to do is - go to the steam library - go to MW3 MP - properties - set start parameters or something and add "+connect 127.0.0.1:28960" IF IW hasn't blocked out the connect command. Otherwise you could also add a 'bind F1 "connect 127.0.0.1:28960" ' in the config_mp.cfg, again, if the command still works. Still, this is a very unreliable method, just get them to be you friends with on steam.

Oh yeah, 127.0.0.1 needs to be replaced with whatever IP you want to join - 127.0.0.1 is always your own computer.
