Question Where Should I Start ?

    Hello guys.

First of all, I'm sorry to bother you guys by creating a noobish thread. But I'm really tired of trying hard for hours and achieving nothing.

    - I watched Hack Menu Tutorial(s) on YouTube (by Fleeps) It never worked because I have Win7 x64.
    - I googled lots of ready-made dlls/source codes/tutorials, but it's either too complicated or outdated (or I couldn't figure out?).

So, it would be really great if any of you posted good noob-friendly tutorials on DirectX hooking.
Something that allows me to inject my dll into a dx9 game and draw stuff (overlay) on it.

That's all, thanks for any help!
    Regards!

    ----
    Other info:

My skills in C++: Above average.
    And in DirectX: Noob.

Alright, I'll check it out & hopefully learn something useful.

Any other things you would suggest?

Check out other sources and try to find the creator's way of working (check things you dont get on MSDN)

Indeed, check some sources and learn with them and then create something the way you want to. (protip: learn, do not copy and paste)
Light travels faster than sound. That's why most people seem bright until you hear them speak.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I finally learned to create overlays. I'm so happy!
