In 10 years? Hell no. Unless someone has a stroke of genius of monumental proportions, enough to revolutionize multiple fields, it's not gonna happen. Right now, the average computer is dumber than a roach.

If you're talking about Siri level shit, well we already got it. Most of them do a relatively good job of passing the Turing test compared to Humans. But they still have flaws, they don't really follow conversation flows well.

If you're talking about simple AI, that is indistinguishable from a human, that has capabilities similar to meeting a new person, once you go deep you can tell the difference. Yeah, I think that will happen.

If you're talking about AI like Data / EDI level grade shit, I wouldn't bet on it.

-edit- I mean 10 years for the middle one, I think it would happen in our lifetimes for the Data/EDI one,, just not in 10 years.

I imagine as soon as we can fully map a brain and run simulations of the interactions between neurons well be a huge step closer.
Then we can print "neurons" onto a holographic substrate and use lasers and shit to simulate the electrical stimulation between the neurons.

Well, the intelligence level it's at is quite high because you didn't understand that he's meaning robots, terminators, and/or many different forms of AI. Not regular AI.
