Looking for Editors

After some input from members and staff I've decided to open a new position on MPGH for our new portal and wikis. The job is simple, submit content and moderate and our new portal and build up the game wikis for MPGH supported games:

• Call of Duty Wiki
• Combat Arms Wiki
• Crossfire Wiki
• WarRock
• Metal Assault
• League of Legends
• Heroes of Newerth
• Maplestory
• Minecraft Wiki
• Runescape
• Vindictus
• Terraria
• DayZ Wiki
• Need for Speed World Wiki

Requirements:

• Must have an strong interest and be extremely knowledgeable in these game(s).
• Must be able to word one's self and write well written English (all of the content must be written, none of it can be copy pasted).
• Must have a significant amount of time to contribute and maintain the wiki.

Responsibilities:

• Write and organize content.
• Moderate and edit user submitted pages and content.
• Ensure that the game news and other user submitted content gets to the frontpage.
• Work with other editors to ensure that the wiki is up to date.
• Take screenshots, find pictures, structure and format user content.
• Actively participate in the development of the wiki, inactivity will not be accepted.

There are a limited number of positions, and we need only knowledgeable people who have a decent amount of time to build up the wiki and keep it up to date. Include other games you think we may need a wiki for as well.



You may start contributing to the wikis, and we encourage you to do so.

Promotion of editor will be based on your contributions to the wikis. Support will play no part in selection process.

• I'm very knowlegeable about anything CA related; I have been playing since beta in 2008.
• I check the CA homepage constantly for new events, sales and competitions.
• I work well in group environments and can cooperate with colleagues where needed.
• My grammar is near perfect, although I do slip up occasionally.
• I don't have much to do so I lurk MPGH quite a lot; this position means that I can be productive during my free time.
• I constantly contribute to the CA community via .REZ mods as well as in the help section and I would love to contribute in other ways as well.

First, I'll start off by saying one thing: Yes, I am young. Does it mean that I am childish? No. I don't care if someone says I am too young, good for them. That's what I am going t say about my age, because it doesn't matter.

Now, I have been gaming since my 6th for sure, and I have always wanted to do something with games, I am trying to become a writer at one of those amazing gaming magazines (in Holland, for example, Powerunlimited (Power Unlimited | PU TV, nieuws, reviews en previews van games voor de PC, Xbox360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, 3DS en Wii U.))
I have worked on a terraria wiki before but I lost interest in that game because of it being completely done, it was finished. No more development, no more DLC's or whatsoever, a shame for such an interesting concept.
I have bought Minecraft extremely early. I bought it just after the Alpha JUST came out. I have experienced the game grow, followed every single patch note etc. etc. Since the game is just a giant sandbox, especially the mods make the game never become boring.

Now, I have played League of Legends for almost 2 years, I love the game, play at least 2 rounds each day, whenever I can. The continous patching can change the entire game, each champion can make such an impact on the META, gameplay or even champion select. It's the game I love the most, I have played (only) 1100 games of it, that is losses and wins included. I'd love making patch notes on the wiki, play styles on different champions and so much more.

Besides all that, I freaking LOVE games, all that is around it! The merchandise, the news, the announcements, I'm going to conventions such as Gamecom too, where Riot Games will be too, I'm going to every big convention I can,

I however, must say I do not know too much about CoD and BF3, sure, I know how to play, sure, I might have a 2+ KD ratio (w/o hacking ) but I dont really enjoy all the news around it, since the games are so overhyped. Mostly talking about CoD then. I am only excited about the new game releases, I am not really into all the DLC's and stuff. Only playing them, but the rest doesnt keep me from sleeping, so to say.

I love MC and LoL with all my heart, and whenever there is news about it, new merchandise or what so ever I am LIVING it!

(Sorry if you found any typo's, I am on my iPad, on holidays, and arriving back home in 2 days, where I can finally type with glory again on my keyboard )

Call of Duty Series. I own every game in the series, and have played/beat them all time and time again with rediculous amounts of logged multiplayer hours on those of which that have a multiplayer option.
Currently unemployed so I have all the time in the world, plus I'm logged in to MPGH 24/7 already lol
I should get this position because I have a very great deal of knowledge to release and I am committed. Also I used to write a column in my local newspaper, so I REALLY know how to speakpe with dexterity.
