remove the 'on fire' animation from view when on fire

yes im reposting this thread because the mod who closed the last one thought it had been solved when i the one making the request do not.

hello, id like to request that someone either point me to where its been done or be so kind as to inform me how to do it, to remove the fire animation that obstructs your view/screen when you catch fire,

the reason i ask is simply i am spending alot of time on fire and am very tired of it making it so hard to see, i have tried optifine but all it does is replace the animated obstruction with a new obstruction that is not animated yet equaly obstructing, id like to be able to see clearly even when on fire,


i am spending many hours playing on a new server that makes use of the heros plugin and my particular class is immune to fire or lava yet i still see it in my face when im lit, and it is very very annoying when it doesnt kill you, cause it just blinds you for many minutes, particularly unfair when your specific skill set is supposed to regard traversing lava what good is it if it makes you blind?

i checked terrian.png and particles.png but now ive read somewhere that the fire animation is actualy only a result of coding, so just which class file is it that this coding is contained in?

Download and Install Minecraft, -> Options -> Video Settings -> Animations -> Fire and Flame animated to off. .

I know you said it didnt work but re try it. Trust me

as you can see from the screenshot and as i ALREADY said in the OP this new form of fire wich is non animated is STILL equaly obstructing of view, and it would be realy helpful if i could remove it entirely

You could replace the fire texture with some invisible stuff. But then you probably wont see normal fire either.

Sorry. When i posted that i had tested it out myself and it worked, it was exactly what you wanted but for some reason it's not working.

that would be perfect and is exactly what i had intended to do when i edited the terrain.png myself however it didnt work, so this is exactly what im asking is

Go to your minecraft.jar and open it up with Winrar. Find the animated fire file (most likely a gif) and replace it/remove it. Replace it with a plain transparent image, or just remove it. Then, I think, you wouldn't see anything.

That won't work. It's a png with several frames.
