Is there any way to just edit the DayZ code as a "hack"

I know it wouldn't classify as a hack but more of an exploit, but is it possible to just edit the .pbo file?

Here is my thinking:
Items such as zombie movement are done client side on the local machine.
The .pbo files have straight integers one could theoredically edit to make zombies respond from very short distance.
Other things like running speed are in the main DayZcode.pbo file and could also be touched up.

But I'm not sure if this would even worked because of these reasons;
I do not Know how much of the .pbo files are checked against the .pbo.bisign files when connecting to the server either.


Any ideas? I'm sure this has been tried before, but doesn't hurt in exploring options. If it did work, it would take out the need for injecting scripts.

No. The signatures are always checked, and if it is off you get kicked.
