i had a similad probleme before , @Loouis when u trun on ur PC u get a blue page ?
Okay, so the problem is I'm afraid to start my laptop because it will automatically turn off again and I don't have a clue why.
I was watching some movies for a while in a semi-hot room (32 degrees) and after it I turned on Maplestory. After a short walk the Maple screen got ablue tint, and it gave me a BSOD.
So I turned it on like it was nothing but the screen couldn't turn on but I could hear the Windows Vista sound that it's logged in. After a few minutes clicking I turned off the computer and turned it on. The normal TOSHIBA screen and Vista logo shows up. I thought that everything was cool so I started playing League of Legends. After a few matches the screen kind of lagged and my laptop got shut down again.
This goes on for a few tries. I went to safe mode to rewind my laptop, maybe I had a virus, but after the rewind it got shut down again. If I try to turn it on, the screen will stay dark. So I waited 15 minutes and started and now the screen was on. But the TOSHIBA logo was very 16-bit like and all the colors were ugly. After that the half of my screen got black and I get once again the BSOD.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I prefer not to take my laptop for repair, because it'll cost me a shit ton. If anyone can confirm what I have (maybe it's a burned graphic card) I can just buy the needed materials.
TL;DR: CANT START LAPTOP ANYMORE BECAUSE OF HARDWARE, WHAT DO?
Please help
Je pense donc je suis.

I think it's burned...
Sounds like overheating issues to me. Laptops have shit heat-sinks and even shittier thermal paste.
Maybe your gpu gave out after overheating too much, this was a problem on some HP dv6000's but idk about Toshiba.
Either way sounds like you are going to have to take it apart.
Please give us your specs though.

Try buying a $20 cooling pad or some shit. My old laptop overheated and I has similar issues. Not the same, but similar. If I played any game for 10 minutes+ it would just turn off, then it took a few tries for me to turn it on again.
The cooling pad didn't work for me, but it's an attempt at a cheap fix.
Sounds like a hardware.
I would open it up and see waht looks strange otherwise I would take it to a repair shop to get to the problem.
Otherwise have fun replacing things that might not even be broken.

Maybe the problem is with your battery ? If it just turns off while playing than try to upgrade the FAN.
Your fan probably is dieing or your motherboard is getting too hot (Fan Problem)..
I try to start my laptop again to quickly dxdiag it, but the screen wouldn't turn on (while I never turned it on the whole day). I heard the Windows sound again and I tried to login without screen so I typed in my password and after a few seconds I hear the login sound, but I can't see anything so I just turned off. Then I try to turn it on again but the screen was still black so I quickly turned it off and on again and now the TOSHIBA logo came on and my screen worked.
I have a customized animated Windows logo but it was stuck. I came on the login screen and everything was slow and buggy. After a few seconds only a half of my login avatar came on the screen and I was stuck, so I turned it off once again..
Couldn't reach for my specs but the model's name is written under my laptop: it's a SATELITE P300-1FY. I didn't customized it so the standard laptop has the exact same specs.
My screen is fucked up as well now..

Music historian here to please and displease, learning to teach all you peeps,so stop by the music part of the forum, and ask the question to your needs.
No, never. I bought this beauty on June 21st 2009 and it has a way too much emotional value. My laptop has already travelled thousands of miles with me and I was 13rd with the Play2Win event organized by Z8Games, XFire and Razer.
It's like throwing out my baby out the window.
