What made you start hacking/scripting?

Let me start off by saying this isn't a QQ thread.

I originally started using scripts to get back the gear I would lose to bugs. However, my reason for using scripts slowly started drifting away from losing gear to bugs to losing gear to players. Games like DayZ will always have players who will kill other players for absolutely no reason, even if the player killer will get nothing in return. But, DayZ seems to have taken the whole PvP aspect to a whole new level. I'd say 19/20 of my encounters with players resulted in my death. Let me stress, I had never even fired upon any of the players I had encountered. A few times I even had given free gear to some and they still killed me! For a lot of people, including myself, we just want to have actual interactions with other people instead of receiving a bullet in the head.

Anyways, I won't drag this on any longer. My question to you is, what made you get into scripting? For me it was to better enjoy the "lone wolf" role I was coerced into.

Ah, so my story may be told.

I go solo looting one afternoon.

By the gods, i discover a tent with a M107 and several mags.

notify my clan about the great find, and how we can cover city raids from miles away.

Clan leader invites me to meet at stary near the military camp. I agree

Vent goes silent after i ask several "where are you guys" "did i dc" "can you hear me"


take a good amount of bullets. fall down. clan loots me. Clan leader G's the m107.

Find out how to spawn weapons. Dont kno how to teleport.

stalk my clan through vent until they all reunite at "base" off the map.

Spawn a rocket launcher. Obliterate everything they have ever touched.
