    Exclamation MPGH Security

This is a social group where I'll be inviting people who are savvy with computer security. If you want a invite post here just so our thread wont die & then message me to how you'd approach evaluating a false positive & how'd you approach evaluating something as malware even if a scanner isn't showing results (there are ways of course).

~ It's okay if you don't quite pass if I've seen you & I've seen you give reliable scans I'll put you in MPGH Security scan squad & if you bomb out & I haven't really been seeing you post useful scan results or anything I'll put you in the intern group intern (MPGH Security intern) & wait & see if you get bumped up to a scanner (you will be watched on what you post of course posting malware will put you out if you want to get in to MPGH Security scanners just post reliable scan results & security comments on forum threads).

I am a coder, and I am the one who first told everybody that that huge fake hack was a virus, saved over 5 peoples accounts. I would like an inivte, what I do with false positives is I check first to see if it uses themida, if it doesnt, I presume as a virus. If it does, I test it on my junk computer, and if it doesnt work it is presumed a virus.

This is anti-getting your butt smex'd by malware
~ themida isn't the only thing to give out a false positive *don't use tunnel vision please esp. when you're getting into security.
~ many files written in a lower level code will get detected as a false positive (I've never cared to inquire why).

Just because you know how to code it doesn't mean crap. You could know how to be code & not know any real thing about security you might get a general gist false positives & how to run a scanner. Like the fact CrazyBish keeps repeating themida to specify false positive*S* shows me (s)he is probably working with tunnel vision only getting the general gist but since (s)he's now apart of the team I'll be here to teach.
~ You could probably know coding & not be able to give detailed info on computer architecture. Which is horrible because you'll get places with other languages without knowing but with C++ you really need to know to be proficient.
~before I got into actual C++ (when I was 11) I read article upon article about computer architecture & programming language components. So much so it made it very easy to trick people into thinking I knew many more things than I actually did....

Hmm... let's see, what do you know about kernel security?... because i've read a lot of crap here and none of those words explain anything about security.

Themida? it's not the only way to give you a false positive, and that's a fact.

Knowing C++ and coding a hack has nothing to do with your knowledge about computer's safety.

If you trust a 100% online VirusScan then you shouldn't be here (by here i mean this post).

I'm not saying that i know **** about this but... there's a lot of crap in this post and i would like to know if anybody really knows about this matter so we can start making a group.

BTW has Dave or any MOD approved this thread anyway?

this isn't a actual MPGH security thing just a group to identify reliable sources.
~ I'm getting p***ed because, these people aren't sending in PM's & just asking on the thread by saying they know C++

    my sentiments near exact.
~ I wonder what teh dumbsh** responses I'd be getting if I'd ask'd the real questions I had lined up.

Well, just to let you know, you won't be able to make a post about Security without being harrased and called "stupid" and shit, because there's a lot of people that think they are Albert Einstein and they know even more than us.

Seriously, if they don't wanna help... gtfo!

BTW, nice idea you had rite there man... i just think this is not going to work because of all the flaming going on right now.

I would be interested to know how you could detect viruses and all those if a scanner comes up with nothing. Is the process complicated or easy?
