happened to my old laptop, after a while, it just starts malfunctioning...
I came across a problem today... Charger don't charge laptop unless its in a certain position. Charger is fine, but it probably the laptop port or the head that plugs into the laptop.
I'm not exactly sure, but why does this happen? I'm not much of a computer person

Stick two metal clothes hangers into your socket and then plug them into your laptop.

Its maybe the battery...
Just keep the battery in and the charging cord and you will be fine
Happened to me a shit ton of times on this laptop I used to have that was from like 2006. I bought like 5 different replacement chargers with the same power, and I even had a replacement battery on it. The new charger I purchased busted out so I gave up and just bought a new laptop.
I have no idea why this happens. I have a feeling that it's the battery that is causing the problem. Pissed me off as well since it cost me a shit ton to purchase all those chargers, and especially the battery pack for the laptop.
The DC jack isn't connected to the Mobo in 99% of cases. So if there is a problem, it should be pretty evident as soon as you open up to look at the mobo, and at that it should be easy to fix if it is broken.
I have the same problem, it's prolly because of the jew charger I got from China. Boh1 it is worth looking at the charger port though.
There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
Guess I'll take this to a local computer repairman (w/e you call 'em) and see whats the problem.
Glad the whole charger only cost 5-10
