Time to switch to trade hacks

Since duping is becoming obsolete, I feel it's time to switch to trade hacks and let the free items live on.
I had come up with an idea. As most of us should know, autoloot on java proxies adds items to your inventory while you're trading, but the trading window does not show it.
So, I'm just thinking, would it be possible to switch your inventory while trading to make the other person get absolutely nothing instead of your valuable item?
I mainly came up with this idea because someone scammed a vit pot off of me for an ammy, which didn't turn out to be anything.

I'm not instantly jumping to the idea that it works, but it should at least be tested.

EDIT: Also, just to let you know, I do not seriously support the idea of scamming, but I want it to get back at the people who have scammed me with the flawless method of not actually giving the item but showing it on-screen.

Not sure if its the same thing, but the other day i picked up an abby armor from a drop, i could move it around in my inv, but when i did a trade, nothing would show, it wasn't actually there, just the image, but i still had to drag in out of my inventory to get rid of it.....?
