There's a much faster method to change the version number,
Open older client with Yogda
Search for 4.0
Change to 4.1
Save
???
PROFIT!

This doesn't work for me :/
I can find 1 value of 4.0, but changing it to 4.1 still doesn't let my old client run

Are you opening the new client? When you save it, it doesn't overwrite the original client you opened, it creates a copy with the same name as the original but with a suffix of -new at the end

It worked for version 4.1 but when I try the same client and change it to 4.2 I can still log into a server but I get kicked out in 30 seconds and I get a message saying lost connection.

might be something else then. i'm using my old 4.0 client, modded it to 4.1 and from 4.1 to 4.2, and I'm logged-in for quite some time without any disconnects.

Only seems to happen when I go into a dungeon and start attacking stuff. I can sit in Nexus just fine.

Edit: dont think it has anything to do with the client but still not sure why its happening

Edit2: nvm I see why... all the unreleased items are supposed to be removed but it doesnt properly show in clients below 4.2 so I was getting disconnected
