    Try this;
    1. Select the background layer (assuming it only has 1 layer)
    2. Go to "Filter -> Render"
    3. Try Lens Flare or/and Lighting Effects
    4. Experiment until you have what you wanted

    It works very well doing that, and i can see loads of stuff i can do on the render, but is not exactly what i need. I can use the file i've changed very well for the new website i'm working on, but thinks my customer wants something that he can't have. Will know on Wednesday after my meeting. Thanks...........

    @stevecbns - You can always create a "fake SUN" if that's what you need.
    1. Create a circle
    2. Fill it with White
    3. Go to Blending Options of that layer
    4. Choose Outer Glow - Might use Color Overlay for "realism"
    5. Experiment!

    You might wanna try it with Inner Glow for a realistic version
