What non ame posted, just download the client from the release link and you'll have a cracked minecraft client. Double click, it'll install the required jar and other files for the current version and you'll be set. It runs just like a regular minecraft version and it also auto updates. You can also play on servers (only if it's a non-premium server).

Yeah. If you'd like to buy a premium account (have access to premium servers, able to change your skin, and other premium-member things) you need to buy an account off of Minecraft's official website.
