Wait what ? Am I a monkey ?
Not sure if they came together since admin sword has been since 2011 and I just today saw the staff, also the IDs show its a fairly new item.
But it was back when pot exploit worked ?
Also item hexing via CE has always worked, those are client side only tho.
I think you meant the exploit of editing the ID of health/mana potion and buying it for 5 gold.

Sorry, poor choice of words on my side. I don't know the actual dates in which the admin items were added to the game, but back when the item ID replacing madness happened the admin staff was already there. Everyone was trying the admin sword and maybe not many used the staff but I gave it a shot and it was pretty crazy.
