Are you using a laptop? Laptops often have other functions mapped to F1-F12.
If so you have to hold down the function(fn)-key and then press F1-F8.

In the next version the hacks can also be activated with the numpad.

Because some scans dont detect them, others do, that all depends on the type of virusscan. But don't be afraid, as I said, every file approved is scanned and checked.

If your screen stays black (usually in Vista) do this:
Right-Click desktop --> Personalize
Windows Color & Appearance --> Under "Color Scheme" select "Windows Aero" Select Apply then OK.
Then Try. If it doesn't work, Run the Hack as Admin, run the game as admin. Load the game FIRST then load the hack. Press enter on the hack. Done.

Do you see the bar at the top of the black ops window with: F1: Show Bar F2:Boxes etc....
