Hey guys!
So, ive been fascinated by the Dayz Mod Wasteland. And the only way to enter this mod is by running the game through steam (I have the steam version) And then switch off Dayz in Expansion. However, when I run the game through steam it automatically swapped my keys, so im getting my old banned key back and wont be able to join any servers. Do anyone have a fix on this? Thanks :-)

Its very very simple just go to your Arma 2 OA folder then just find the ARMA2OA.exe and launch it like that. Now it will just open arma2OA without steam
First make sure you have your non banned key activated or whatever. Then you'll have to get to Regedit, just press the windows button and type in regedit. Once in regedit go here "Computer>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node> Bohemia Interactive Studio>ArmA 2 OA". Once you're there right click ArmA 2 OA in regedit and press "Permissions" have the "Owner/Creator" selected and press "Advanced" then select the top one in the list and press "Edit". Then you simply check "Deny" on the "Set Value"
Now it shouldn't change when launching with steam.

Freedom of speech and privacy on the internet! Please thank me if I were to any help.
Launch it through the directory, and it shouldn't auto update the key. Or you can do what qaper123 said.
