Not really, much more braking power comes from the front brake. The front wheel doesn't carry the same rotational inertia as the rear does which carries inertia from the chain, sprockets, and your legs. Originally Posted by chickeninabiskit

You got to get rid of brake bite by doing a little bit of setting up the brakes, but over all the front brake gives you much more stopping power than the rear. It also helps if you shell out for those fancy disk brakes. Originally Posted by chickeninabiskit
