The projectile hit-detection is server-sided.
However you can edit the .xmls where the size is stored client-sided.
Could help noticing some mobs from more far away but not much other use otherwise.
Is it possible to change the size of the tile for a mob?
Such as making Oryx appear 3x bigger allowing the player to shot him from longer distances?.. or is the the actually tile size of the mob server-side?

The hitbox is decided on by the server and is not player alterable. That said Sprite sizes are resizable in the Monsters XML file like @ @runekri3 said.
