Common Misconceptions When Hacking
When approaching hacking, many encounter questions that the answers aren’t relatively easy to find. Another common problem is what one may think is right but ends up to be wrong. This thread is focused on avoiding some of these problems.

I. What to Expect as a Beginner to DayZ Hacking
Expect Downtime
1. All bypasses have to deal with this. It’s common for a bypass to go down for a period of time and need to be updated/repaired. Be patient.
2. Don’t annoy those who are working on fixing it for you. If they give you any type of verbal/textual message explaining what happened and if possible an ETA. Accept that.
3. Now what happens if you use a private bypass made by an individual rather than a forum site with extensive support. Well get in touch with them and get an idea of what’s going on instead of making threats and/or adding to their burden already.
Not Everything is Free
1. When approaching hacking, many think that it’s easy to just fit in with everyone else that’s doing it. Do some research first. Find out what’s available and how much it’ll cost you.
2. Scripts/Menus are all over the section. Search for them before asking for someone to send you one. People find it disrespectful when you ask them to do your job for you.
3. Free releases do exist. They are called public releases and tend to only work for a temporary period of time depending on if it’s a bypass, RE, key generator, or key manager.
How much is it going to cost to begin hacking? (Buyers)
1. It’s not exactly cheap. It may seem like a small price at first but you’re buying a full game in the end.
2. Bypass alone will run you $8-15 a month. Other bypasses come with menus and may run $25-50.
3. Key prices vary. Usually less than $5 a key. (Look below for how to find a reliable seller.)
II. What will the MPGH DayZ Section Contribute and What to Avoid
Contributions
1. Helpful Advice: Don’t expect this if you don’t put effort into your posts/questions.
2. Releases: People release menus/scripts/programs/keys/etc. Just browse the forum. Don’t request a release from just anyone. If you are going to request anything. Make it a suggestion and not a demand.

What to Avoid
1. Don’t use outside download links: Every once and a while there may be a legit one but don’t download anything without doing the proper digging.
2. Keystealer’s: Commonly disguised as free bypasses/hacks. Links almost always lead to youtube or a direct download. Never trust them.

3. Sarcasm: Take a class in it. There is plenty around.
III. Common Misconceptions
1. Revenge isn’t always a good idea. Many people tend to post controversial threads after getting scammed. Think twice before doing this. Are you in the right? Are you complaining about getting scammed because of your own scam backfiring? Are they going to turn it back on you?
2. When finding a key seller. What do you look for? Basically look for someone with reliable service. Key sellers steal keys so they won’t last long. Cactuar’s sticky is a great place to gather more information on who to trust/go to.
3. "The Rules Do Not Apply to Me." Of course they do, if you think twice about posting something then you probably shouldn’t. If your just not familiar with the rules. It’s one of the easiest links to click on. Especially in the Selling / Trading / Buying section. New rules are added/updated regularly.
4. People commonly think they will easily gain access to releases/help. You may come across someone who gives you outstanding information for a basic question or someone who will try and ruin the thread. Just remember you get more effort from the community if you put some effort in yourself.
5. Be respectful. One day someone may be your best friend on this site but watch what you say when something isn’t going as smooth as you would like. People build connections and when you think you may be losing one, you may actually be losing everything in return.
6. Validity is easily obtainable. If the product is legit, they won't have anything to hide from you as long as it's reasonable information to try and gather.
7. Keys get banned for a few reasons.
a. Using a stolen key
b. Hacked on the key
Scripts/Menu’s will not get you globally banned by BE. Only bypasses will.
Feel free to send me contributions. I'll edit in things I missed that some of you may want to emphasize. This thread's purpose is to give a general understanding of what to expect within this section. Try to refrain from posting other information mentioned in other threads unless I can give credit to them. I notice questions asked on a daily basis that push the common sense boundary. It may be for some of us but not for others. Hopefully this clears up stuff for people.
